Comfort Meets Spice: Inday gives Chicken Over Rice a Glow-Up

Since Bustle's 2024 article about the NYC "Chipotle Boys", I've been fascinated with the concept. And once you notice the prevalence of the "Chipotle Boys", it's hard to not spot the suit-clad creatures crawl out of their corporate corridors every weekday at noon.

Blis reports that Chipotle is NYC's most popular fast-food chain, with Monday afternoons in Manhattan being the busiest time periods for Chipotle. It makes sense. But I present you with an excellent alternative to your weekly (or quintaweekly) bowl: Inday's new Chicken over Rice.

Inday is an NYC-based fast casual chain serving up an Indian offering within the confines of modern life: it's healthy, accessible, and easy. But it is also uniquely flavorful, bringing Indian comfort and spice right to your plate.

With nine current locations across Manhattan and Williamsburg, Inday's menu is rooted in the concept of food karma: "how your food is sourced, who cooks it and where it is served all impacts how you feel." So, onto their brand new menu item: Chicken Over Rice.

Chicken over rice is an NYC staple, found everywhere from Halal carts to... you guessed it, Chipotle.

But in trying Inday's take on the classic at their menu launch on July 16, I felt like I had finally found the fusion of India and New York. With coconut rice, tandoori chicken, lettuce, kachumber, white sauce, and kashmiri chilli hot sauce, the bowl felt nourishing, comforting, and truly packed a punch.

The new menu item drops at all Inday locations in Manhattan on July 21st, and is a very reasonable $12.
